Industry Arts

Occupation Acting mainly, on-camera and voiceover, but a long history including theatre and film writing and directing

Location Vancouver, BC, Canada

Introduction I live with my husband and two boys in a renovated 110 year-old house in East Van’s cultural blender, Commercial Drive. An average day outside of family time includes recording in my home voice studio, maybe doing an on-camera audition or voice job in town, or taking a float plane over to Vancouver Island to shoot Spooksville, a new TV show in which I play mom to a teenage genius, one of the series’ leads. Yoga class several times a week. I’m muscling my way out of a long bout of writer’s block, and plan to get back on that horse presently. I’ve written and directed short films and theatre, and had feature films in development. I also had the unique experience of co-writing a story that was used in a Stargate SG-1 episode that saw my recurring character Nirrti killed off. I’ve acted for thirty years, on stage, in films and television and I still love it fiercely, even though it can be a bitter business at times. Kind of like rhubarb.
